SALT LAKE CITY (KTVX) -- A Utah man is facing an attempted murder charge after he allegedly admitted to investigators that he tried to kill his terminally ill wife two years ago to ease her suffering.DeWayne McCulla, 45, of Hurricane, was charged Wednesday with attempted murder, a first-degree felony, court documents obtained by Nexstar's KTVX show. According to an affidavit, relatives reported to police that McCulla tried to choke his wife on Dec. 20, 2021, while she was in hospice. The woman died a day later, according to her family. The woman's son ultimately filed a report with police in 2022 about McCulla's actions, he explained to another local news outlet. QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A dog that had been reported stolen from the Pet Zone within Aviation Mall in Queensbury has been found safe and in good health, as confirmed by the store and the Warren County Sheriff's Office. The dog had been taken around 5:30 p.m. on December 13. The two suspects are described as being a man and a woman both in their early twenties. According to police, the man reportedly took the puppy from a fenced area that was temporarily open while an employee was taking care of another animal. CREVE COEUR -- The Creve Coeur Police responded to a bomb threat on December 17, and they confirmed they did not find a bomb. The threats, which were received through email, are currently under investigation.In a more detailed account, Creve Coeur PD officers were sent to three Jewish synagogues that had received threatening messages via email, suggesting there was a planted bomb in the buildings. Officers secured each synagogue and used canine units from both Creve Coeur PD and St. Louis County PD to conduct thorough searches. All the buildings were examined, and officers confirmed that there weren't any immediate threats. LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- An NBA G League player has been taken into custody in connection with a woman's Las Vegas disappearance, sources tell Nexstar's KLAS. Chance Comanche, 27, was in the Sacramento County Jail Saturday evening after a warrant for first-degree kidnapping was issued in Las Vegas Justice Court early Friday morning. Comanche was allegedly involved in the disappearance of Marayna Rodgers, 23, sources say.Rodgers, a medical assistant from Washington state, had been visiting Las Vegas with friends in early December, her family told KLAS. She hasn't been seen since December 6. While details of the investigation are limited, KLAS has confirmed that Comanche was taken into custody by an FBI apprehension team on Friday.
