FOXBORO — The Patriots are getting some reinforcements in their secondary.Patriots cornerbacks Jonathan Jones and J.C. Jackson are active Sunday against the Saints. The team needed help at the position with Christian Gonzalez, Jack Jones and Marcus Jones on injured reserve.The Patriots acquired Jackson in a trade with the Chargers this week. Over a dozen people suffered minor injuries and some were taken to hospital after a footbridge collapsed at an event to celebrate a mountain bike World Cup event northeast of Quebec City on Saturday.Quebec provincial police spokeswoman Camille Savoie says several dozen people were lining up on the footbridge to enter the event at the Mont-Ste-Anne convention centre when the structure collapsed at about 9:30 p.m.She says about 17 people suffered minor injuries, including 10 or so who were taken to hospital.The event organizer says a medical team was immediately deployed and the building was evacuated. CHICAGO -- Eight individuals are injured after a shooting that took place in River North early Sunday morning. According to police, a group of indiivduals were having a hysical altercation near the 300 block of Eerie Street around 2:38 a.m. when shots were fired. AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Austin police have arrested and charged a man with a second-degree felony for his alleged involvement in a fatal crash near the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport early Thursday morning.Ruben Ysasi, 44, was arrested on an accident involving death felony charge, according to court documents. VERNON, Vt. (NEWS10) -- Vermont State Police announced they are investigating a collision between an Amtrak passenger train and a motor vehicle that resulted in the death of the car's driver.
