Miami-Dade Police arrested two women for allegedly operating an unlicensed post-cosmetic surgery recovery home in Miami, Thursday. Following a tip, investigators discovered the unlicensed assisted living facility, located at 3122 SW 139th Court, operating under the name “Yenis House LLC.” Yenisel Diaz, 38, and Yenisley Diaz-Peraza, 35, were identified as the operators. Detectives executed a search warrant, finding 17 patients, including three pre-operative individuals, and four employees on the premises.The facility was confirmed to be unlicensed, leading to the arrest of the operators. The man allegedly behind a string of armed carjackings in New Hampshire appeared in court Friday, one day after cell phone video showed his dramatic arrest in Dracut. Facing a judge, Nathan Saben pleaded not guilty to a series of charges against him. One resident was displaced Friday after a fire broke out in a building in East Boston, the Boston Fire Department said. The fire department in a post on X said companies responded to the scene on Trustman Terrace around 9:30 a.m.The fire department shared photos from the emergency response, showing smoke at one point coming from the building. The Mass State Police trooper who was seriously injured by an alleged drunk driver in Utah over the summer can now walk again as he gets ready to leave the rehab hospital this weekend after making “incredible progress.”Trooper Matthew McRae was on vacation in Utah in late August when the alleged drunk driver slammed into the rideshare vehicle that the trooper was traveling in, sending the statie to the ICU with severe injuries. The trooper from the State Police Belchertown Barracks suffered several broken bones, including a broken neck and spinal injury.Six weeks later, McRae is walking again and he’s slated to be discharged from Boston’s Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital this weekend.
