(AP) — Ben Bryant returned after missing four games due to injury and led touchdown drives on each of Northwestern’s first three series against his former coach to help the Wildcats defeat Wisconsin 24-10 on Saturday.Northwestern (5-5, 3-4 Big Ten) snapped a 14-game losing streak in true road games, which had been the longest active such skid by any Football Bowl Subdivision team. APD Chief identifies officer killed while attempting hostage rescue

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police Interim Chief Robin Henderson released the name of an APD officer who was killed in the line of duty early Saturday morning during a SWAT response.Senior Police Officer Jorge Pastore and one other officer were struck by gunfire. Austin-Travis County EMS medics took the two officers to Dell Seton Medical Center, where Pastore died."My heart is heavy today," said Henderson in a social media post. "Please help me and our APD family pay tribute to SPO Jorge Pastore for his brave & heroic actions. Officers searching for missing juvenile allegedly taken by grandmother

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Austin Police are searching for a missing juvenile believed to have been taken by his grandmother without his consent, a release from the department says.Adrian Patlan's grandmother, Tarra Ann Wright, is believed to have taken him, according to APD, and he was last known to be in the 7900 block of Running Water Drive. The area is in southeast Austin, which is east of Bluff Springs.Patlan is described as being 5'3", 178 lbs., and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black jogging pants and black Crocs. Police say Wright is driving a 2009 black Porsche Cayenne SUV with Texas License Plate SLK3921. According to APD, she is known to travel to the Dallas area and also frequents the WinStar Casino in Oklahoma.Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1 or the APD Missing Person Unit at 512-974-5250.

ST. LOUIS - Veterans Day is a time to honor the dedication, sacrifices, and contributions of those who have served in the military. There were many celebrations to honor local veterans Saturday in the St. Louis area. One of the biggest draws in St. Louis was the 40th Annual Veterans Day Parade in Downtown St. Louis. The festivities started at the corner of 18th and Olive streets. During the event, the Missouri National Guard inducted four individuals into its hall of fame. Among those heroes: Chief Warrant Officer Paula Prosser, who graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1974, and recently reached 40 years of military service. Brigadier General Harvey C. Clark, who was born in Bates County in 1869, and organized the sixth Missouri volunteer infantry during the Spanish-American war. HAZELWOOD, Mo. - A house in Hazelwood suffered significant damage after a fire Saturday morning. The fire damaged a home in the 7300 block of Cartwheel Lane. burning the home to the ground. It's unclear what led up to the fire. No injuries were reported from the blaze.
