AUSTIN (KXAN) — March Madness is off and running with 68 men's and women's college basketball teams battling their way through the bracket to decide this year's national champion.It's the best time of year for hardcore and even casual college basketball fans. Millions of brackets have been submitted for pools with family, friends, co-workers and (sometimes) random strangers. The winner of these pools will undoubtedly claim themselves a college basketball expert amongst their inner circle. How many perfect brackets remain in the NCAA Men’s tournament? Over 20 million brackets were submitted through ESPN's bracket challenge. ESPN also offered stats on which teams America picked to make it to each round.While Houston and Alabama are the two favorites to cut down the nets, the Texas Longhorns aren't too far behind, according to ESPN brackets. 6.2% of ESPN brackets picked Texas to win the national title. A third suspect has been arrested and charged in the December killing of Alex Becker, a 22-year-old repeatedly shot in his St. Paul alley after walking home from a late-night work shift.Shaun Lamar Travis  (Courtesy of Ramsey County sheriff’s office)Shaun Lamar Travis, 25, of Brooklyn Park, faces aiding and abetting second-degree murder in the fatal shooting in the city’s North End just before midnight Dec. 27. (NEWS10) -- According to an updated report by the New York State Labor Department, women in New York made 88 cents for every dollar earned by men in 2021."That figure is all women compared to white men the year before," explained Department of Labor Commissioner, Roberta Reardon. "The thing that’s really not so well known is women of color have much worse pay gaps. For Black American women, it is about 68 cents to the dollar and for Latina women in the United States, it’s 63 cents to the dollar." BELLEVILLE, Ill. - Warm weather in February and March had crops at Eckert’s Farm coming out of dormancy early, but luckily the timing of this cold isn’t too terrible just yet.“Getting ready to bloom. They’re not blooming yet, fortunately," said Chris Eckert, president of Eckert's Inc. "So this cool weather has us a little on edge about not losing any crops to mother nature."Plants on the ground the next three nights are most at risk because the temperature at night is colder.“Strawberries for us, in particular, is a crop that we know we’re going to have to protect because the buds are formed and out there," Eckert said. A man was hospitalized after a shooting outside a Burger King in South Los Angeles Friday afternoon.The victim is a 30-year-old man, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. His identity has not been released.Officers responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon at the fast food restaurant located on Vernon and Figueroa Street around 3:20 p.m. When police arrived, the victim was found unconscious and not breathing, said LAPD.Two teenage suspects were seen running westbound from Figueroa, police said. Judge: Trump’s lawyer to face more Mar-a-Lago questions

Evan Corcoran to answer additional questions as prosecutors pursue their investigation into classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago as well as potential efforts to obstruct that probe. The order was described by a person familiar with it, who was not authorized to discuss a sealed proceeding and spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity.The precise scope of the order, which is expected to be appealed, was not immediately clear. My 45 minutes from San Francisco to Palo Alto recently on the “limited” 7:14 train was quiet and uncrowded, a perfect place to read a good book. Can’t do that driving 101. “Limited” trains take about an hour and a quarter from San Francisco to San Jose. “Bullet” trains take about an hour.
