Seeing emergency lights at Centennial Airport? Here's why DENVER (KDVR) — If you live or work by Centennial Airport, you may notice emergency lights and sirens on Wednesday. But don't worry, it's just a test. The Centennial Airport said it is conducting an emergency exercise along with the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office and South Metro Fire Rescue. The crews will be conducting the exercise on airport property, so there may be an increased emergency response. But the airport said there is no need for concern and to not call 911 if you see the lights. Boulder, you can help choose the city’s new LED streetlights The Centennial Airport is located at 7565 S. Dolphins set numerous records in their blowout win over Broncos but miss out on a few more The records kept getting set almost as fast as the Miami Dolphins scored last week against the Denver Broncos. The first team ever with 10 touchdowns from scrimmage, the first to gain at least 350 yards through the air and on the ground, a record-tying two players with four touchdowns. The Dolphins fell short of a few other notable marks in the 70-20 victory thanks in part to mercy by the coaching staff and a statistical quirk. With a chance to become the first team since 1966 to top the 70-point mark in a game, coach Mike McDaniel had Mike White take a knee on fourth down from the Denver 27 with 33 seconds left. That’s in stark contrast to the decision Washington coach Otto Graham made the last time a team scored 70 points in a game.Graham sent out kicker Charlie Gogolak for a 29-yard field goal in the closing seconds of a 72-41 win over the Giants on Nov. 27, 1966. Had McDaniel done the same, the Dolphins could have set the mark for points in a regular-season game. The overall re...

Mobs of masked teens ransacked Philadelphia stores. Police arrested 15 to 20 people. The flash mob-style ransacking Tuesday night at stores including Foot Locker, Lululemon and Apple came after a peaceful protest over a judge’s decision to dismiss murder and other charges against a Philadelphia police officer who shot and killed a driver, Eddie Irizarry, through a rolled-up window. Those doing the ransacking were not affiliated with the protest, Interim Police Commissioner John Stanford said at a news conference, calling the group “a bunch of criminal opportunists.” Video on social media showed masked people in hoodies running out of Lululemon with merchandise and police officers grabbing several and tackling them to the sidewalk. Photos of a sporting goods store at a mall showed mannequins and sneakers scattered on the sidewalk. The thef...
